Someone sent a clip to me recently. The video was of a man who had a son, an only son whom he loved very much. The man and his son were very close, extremely close and spent all their free time together.
The man worked as a bridgemaster for a railroad. And he took his son to work with him. The boy liked to watch the different caliber of people that came to board the train.
They were of different species; the lonely, the alcoholic, the addict, the selfish, people who were angry, hurting, just name them.
One day, the bridge was open and the man didn’t notice it. The son did and tried to alert the father but when his father wasn’t looking at his direction, he took matters into his own hands.
He went under the train to try to pull the lever. By the time, he was going under, his father noticed but it was too late to stop him.
The father was left with the hardest choice ever: allow everyone on the train to die or pull the lever and allow his son be crushed by the bridge.
He struggled with the decision to make. But at the last minute, he pulled the lever and saved the whole at the expense of his son’s life.
He was very devastated and cried bitterly. The people in the train noticed him crying but they had no idea what he had done and as a matter of fact, were unmoved by his tears to even ask.
The saving of all required the sacrifice of one most dear. Yet the sacrifice of one, brought assurance and hope for the future (that was the concluding message of the clip).
That is what God did for the world with Jesus. His only begotten son was sacrificed for the remission of sin of all.
This is the unconditional love that God has for us. And all He wants is to be loved back; all He wants is for His unconditional love to be accepted.
If you want to give your life to CHRIST, just go on your knees and ask Him in. He listens and He is already opening His arms wide to accept you.
Tell Him you acknowledge you are a sinner, confess it and plead for His forgiveness. Tell Him you know He loves you and believe He died for you on the cross and rose on the third day.
Then ask Him to come into your life, you are ready to accept Him and make Him the Lord and Saviour of your life.
If you said this prayer, congratulations, you have been born into the family of Christ. If you will like somebody to talk to, you could contact me. God bless you.
